Description

As of January 2015, “Musical Minds” will no longer be offered.

However, children 18 months and over will enjoy the “Sound Adventures” classes for toddlers.

Musical Minds and bodies too, clapping games, moving in a circle… activities ideal for both crawlers and walkers alike. Experience winter fun complete with (listen!) the special sounds of the season.

We’ll sing and dance to songs that celebrate the winter season, then on to Valentines Day and Mardi Gras to warm things up with hearts and tropical heat.

We'll turn songs into sunshine and dance as the first flowers appear, making music out of the special magic of the season.

Winter seemed unwilling to let go, but now the warm weather just can’t wait to get started!

We’ll make music out of our favourite outdoor experiences, with new activities and songs you can sing for the places you go together — the playground, the market, the beach, and more. Great for your child's emerging vocabulary, busy hands and feet!

Musical Minds and bodies too, clapping games, moving in a circle… activities ideal for both crawlers and walkers alike. Experience the fall colours complete with (listen!) the sounds of owls, squirrels, honking Canadian geese.

We’ll sing and dance to songs that celebrate the harvest and other customs from different cultures.

“Busy Days” New activities and songs you can sing for the places you go together — the store, the playground, the doctor, and more. Great for your child’s emerging vocabulary, busy hands and feet! “Cock-a-Doodle-Moo!” Babies and their grownups get to visit all the animals in the farmyard, through songs, dances, bounces, traditional rhymes and vocal plays. “Dewdrops” Dewdrops features a lovely springtime theme with lots of flower imagery, songs and dances from Ireland, and a walk around the Maypole! “Do-Si-Do” Pick up your baby and dance. Do the Charleston, the Tango, and the Cha-Cha and learn why dancing with your baby helps her develop vital learning skills—from head to toe. In this eight-week semester, play over 25 unique instruments and home-made activities. Your At Home Materials include over 25 specially-selected recordings from class, a Yellow Do- Si-Do Clacker, and Art Banner for the nursery wall that strengthens vision and promotes early literacy. “Feathers” The musical poems of Woody Guthrie, bird songs, and the naturally occurring sounds in nature help babies develop an early appreciation—and accelerated aptitude—for language, movement, and music in this eight-week semester. Your At Home Materials include over 25 specially-selected recordings from class, Little Bird Shaker instrument, and Art Banner for the nursery wall that strengthens vision and promotes early literacy. “Hickory, Dickory, Tickle and Bounce!” Just as the name implies, this unit feeds the baby’s language development through the rhythmic nature of classic nursery rhymes and bounces. “The Rhythm of My Day” With an introduction to sign language and highlighted by the concept of a family’s daily rituals and routines, The Rhythm of My Day is designed to help parents incorporate music into many of the regular routines found throughout their daily life.
